3G Pitch Construction
CLS Sports were appointed to construct a new synthetic 3G pitch for Consett AFC following their relocation to the Belle View Stadium.
The 3G surface was laid upon a dynamic stone base, a specialist area for CLS Sports. The club required a surface suitable to fulfill the first team aspirations whilst still ensuring durability and longevity. A 60mm mono-filament surface was selected and installed, achieving the FIFA 1 Star accreditation.
Following completion the facility entertains more than 50 hours of club and community use per week. The dividing net system installed enables the pitch to be segregated in 6 smaller pitches providing a fantastic facility for training purposes, tournaments and community use.
